Project Details

Description

Which molecular changes are characteristic of scleroderma esophageal disease? We hypothesize that patients with scleroderma esophageal disease have an heterogeneity in cell populations compared to healthy subjects or other esophageal diseases. To test this hypothesis, we will determine the gene expression patterns of cells from patients with scleroderma esophageal disease. We will use single cell RNA sequencing to determine which changes in gene expression are involved in scleroderma esophageal disease pathogenesis.
