Motor exploration and motor learning during child development

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

Dr. Mussa-Ivaldi will participate in the development of the experimental protocols, in the analysis of the data and in the dissemination of results. In particular, he will focus on the techniques for dimensionality reduction of the body-motion signals and on the procedures for separating exploratory components from components that are more directly related to task execution. He will also share with the PI data on unimpaired adult participants in analogous experiments performed as part of different research projects that he currently supervises. Dr. Mussa-Ivaldi will consult regularly with Dr. Lee and other team members on the relation between general motor learning issues and the specific learning processes involved in child development.
