Description
Co-PI Project 2: John Crispino
Statement of Work
The Northwestern contribution to this grant, led by Dr. John Crispino, is to study the contributions of the reduced expression of GATA1 to primary myelofibrosis. Specifically, his lab will: 1) Compare the differentiation and gene expression of megakaryocytes at the pre-fibrotic and the fibrotic phases of primary myelofibrosis, and 2) Identify alterations in cytokine secretion by PMF megakaryocytes and assay the degree to which they induce fibrosis.
