N3 Initiative

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

This grant will increase the research, outreach, and policy capacity of the Northwestern Neighborhood & Network Initiative (N3). N3 is as an incubator for new ways that faculty, experts, and students can engage communities, civic partners, and policy makers to address core problems facing the residents of Chicago-area communities. Projects are linked by a focus on how the relationships among networks, neighborhoods, and the constellation of groups, organizations, and civic partners affect what we feel, think, and do. N3 aims to show how network-thinking can improve neighborhoods, the city, and our region. The grant would allow N3 to develop its infrastructure, support projects and outreach efforts, and sustain unfunded projects.
