Project Details
Description
Systematic literature reviews summarize the results of high-quality studies and provide evidence on the effectiveness of interventions. We will update the 2016 systematic review, Employer-Led Efforts to Improve the Value of Health Spending, which identified the best evidence available on health benefit design. To do so, we will revisit the search strategy employed in 2015, updating as necessary. Then we will apply the searches to the published and unpublished literature since 2015, including articles added to health/medicine and business databases retroactively. The systematic literature review will follow Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines, which facilitate completeness and transparency, and is the standard for conducting high-quality reviews. Note that this task is focused on the design of health benefits, not wellness benefits.
The result will be the best information currently available on effective strategies for health benefit design. Findings will be summarized in: 1) a manuscript suitable for publication, and 2) one-page summary for a lay audience.
