Project Details
Description
We now request from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation $1,500,000 over five years to provide initial funding for a senior professor in the field and for core activities of a new Native American and Indigenous Studies Center. The proposed center’s activities will revolve around two main thrusts, one that aims to develop this area of scholarship and teaching as a distinguishing feature of the Weinberg College, and another that focuses on outreach and collaborations with external partners particularly those in the upper Midwest.
