Network topology underlying circuit dynamics during flexible, cognitive behavior

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

We propose to integrate network topological analysis with neurophysiology in flexible, controlled behaviors. Brains must self-organize so as to produce dynamic trajectories relevant for the task, and to make appropriate choices within that task context. We will model topological structures to constrain the hypothesis space of mechanisms for this kind of control, and we will use these models for hypothesis-guided measurement and intervention at the neural level.
