NGSX Design to Support the CT New Terrain Initiative

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

Northwestern University will develop web-based materials to support the implementation of 2015 CT MSP New Terrain Project. The web-based materials to be developed will include • NGSX units to support participants developing NGSS-aligned instructional units, (implemented in 2-3 units, approximately 6-10 hours of participant activities). • NGSX resources to support facilitators working with teacher study groups for the NGSX Matter 2.0 pathway. These include general guidance for facilitators in managing study groups, guidance about the science activities, guidance on the pedagogical activities for participants, and step-specific guidance within the matter pathway 2.0. • Revisions to the Matter 2.0 pathway to better support changes participants need to make in their own classrooms to align with the Framework and NGSS.
