Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

This project is designed to facilitate the safety and machine proficiency and training of inexperienced operators of shop equipment. This request specifically addresses the Susan Harwood Training Grant Program as it directly addresses the need for training materials for students and young workers ages 16 -24 who are working on equipment and machinery. The targeted training topic would be the “Machinery and Machine Guarding Hazards – General Industry” category of the grant, as this directly relates to the majority if not all of the shop equipment we train our students on. This training combines with the theory that the workers learn in their training to raise their proficiency in utilizing shop machinery and design in their future industrial careers.
