Description
This collaborative project led by Carl Moore and Rodney Roberts at the joint engineering school of Florida A&M University and Florida State University and involving Ed Colgate and Matt Elwin at Northwestern University, aims to develop a new paradigm of “shape-based remote manipulation” (SBRM). The project will involve creating a remote manipulation testbed with the main operator interface at FAMU/FSU and the remote manipulator (“avatar”) at Northwestern. Experimental studies will be carried out across the two campuses.
