Off Campus costs for High-fidelity and reduced order models to investigate the thermal history and residual stress for powder bed fusion processes

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

This research will be mainly focused on computational modeling of powder bed fusion process with reasonable experimental validation. The goals of the research are:
- Understand the influence of process parameters on thermal history and residual stress
- Approximate distortion and residual stress in complex-shaped components
- Guide optimal parameter selection and facilitate real-time control for thermal history and residual stress
