Description
The role of Northwestern University staff and researchers in this project includes:
- developing survey questionnaires, overseeing institutional review boards submission
(IRS) to the NU Office of the Human Research Protection Program,
- recruitment and enrollment of up to 185 participants per year for two years;
- administering ACASI surveys; collecting, preparing, and shipping biological specimens
for testing by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
- NU will also be responsible for maintaining the patient-specimen link before
processing for shipment to the CDC.
- NU will maintain all prepared specimens per protocol storage specifications until
shipped to CDC.
- The NU team will also participate in the analyses of data and
preparation of presentations and manuscripts for publication and dissemination.
