Description
Scope of Work for PsyberGuide
Dr. Schueller at Northwestern University will provide expertise in the development and evaluation of web and mobile applications for mental health and oversee PsyberGuide as its Executive Director. PsyberGuide is a non-profit website dedicated to consumers seeking to make responsible and informed decisions about web and mobile applications for mental health. In his role of Executive Director of PsyberGuide Dr. Schueller will oversee all aspects of the website including creation of content, evaluation of web and mobile applications in line with scientific standards, and collection, analysis, and presentation of data to better understand the benefits of web and mobile applications for mental health. This will help PsyberGuide serve as a resource for patients, family members, providers, researchers, and advance the state of the science in web and mobile applications for mental health. One Mind Institute will provide funding to partially cover Dr. Schueller’s salary and the salary of project team members who will be supervised and guided by Dr. Schueller to contribute to the scope of work of PsyberGuide.
Service
Dr. Schueller will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance of the PsyberGuide website this includes:
• Allow PsyberGuide to function as a unbiased source of information regarding web and mobile applications for mental health.
• Creation of web content including blog posts, news articles, and similar articles to ensure that PsyberGuide is an up-to-date resource on web and mobile applications for mental health.
• Addition of 36-48 new product descriptions and ratings of web and mobile applications for mental health
• Expert rating of 12-24 web and mobile applications for mental health.
• Ensure that PsyberGuide clearly describes methodology for identification and evaluation of the quality and effectiveness of web and mobile applications for mental health.
• Providing guidance in the overall look and feel of the site drawing from Dr. Schueller’s expertise in user-centered design and eHealth and mHealth technologies.
• Communication with the Scientific Advisory Board of PsyberGuide and designees of the One Mind Institute/PsyberGuide including:
o Review of the progress of PG on at least a quarterly basis, either in person or by phone conference with the Chair of the Scientific Advisory Board (Dr. Michael Knable) and the designees of the OMI/PG Board (Brandon Staglin and/or Matthias Bowman)
o Review of the progress of PG on at least an annual basis with the full Scientific Advisory Board and the representatives of the OMI board. Such review shall include any suggested refinements of PsyberGuide’s long-term goals.
Research
Dr. Schueller will be responsible for all research objectives of PsyberGuide this includes:
• Collection, analysis, and presentation of data on the PsyberGuide platform.
• Obtaining and maintain approval from relevant Institutional Review Boards for any data collection involving human subjects.
• Responsibility for publishing findings from PsyberGuide in scientific journals including findings derived from data collected on PsyberGuide and publications that advance the rating system used by PsyberGuide and PsyberGuide as a platform for providing mental health resources.
• Presentation of findings from PsyberGuide at professional and consumer-oriented public meetings.
• Contributing his expertise to existing trials being conducted at Stanford and Mass General Hospital. This includes consultation in clinical trial design, evaluation of mobile applic
