To complete the action steps and achieve the stated objectives, at a minimum, CTD will reach out to the following schools, districts, and community organizations and conduct the following activities: **NUMATS Testing and Summer Program Participation for Chicago & Rockford Students • Palmer Elementary, Chicago • Chicago Collegiate Charter School, Chicago • Chicago Jesuit Academy, Chicago • Galapagos Charter School, Rockford • Funds to cover o Support young students taking the PSAT test through NUMATS and attend CTD summer programs. o 2-3 parent meetings will be held at each site and meetings between CTD staff and school administrators o Total cost, $40,000 for scholarships to the summer program and NUMATS test fees. **Students in rural areas or in schools with few advanced courses use CTD’s Gifted LearningLinks (GLL) program to supplement their school offerings. $11,000 for scholarships for low-income students to take courses in CTD’s GLL program. **CTD has been partnering extensively with Elgin U-46, Elgin, Illinois, the largest school district in the state of Illinois, with a socio-economically and racially diverse population of students. In addition to co-organizing a summit on underrepresented gifted students for educators, they are working with us to enroll students in our summer programs, online programs and to host three AWE programs per year. Total Cost $5500 for 21 students to take AWE programs during the 2017-2018 academic year. **North Chicago school district has significant numbers of low income, Latino and African American families. Administrators in these districts have been working with CTD to identify gifted students to attend the CTD SEP program on JKCF funds. $11,000 for students to take classes in CTD’s Saturday Enrichment Program.   **Evanston K-8 School District 65.
