Project Details
Description
Individual scholarship is emphasized through undergraduate research projects with faculty. These projects allow students to go well beyond text-book knowledge and work at the cutting edges of a subject, while receiving personal mentoring from top-notch faculty. The best research is recognized through the Harold B. Gotaas Undergraduate Research Award, named in honor of the third dean of the Technological Institute.
Individual leadership is highly valued at McCormick and is recognized through the Eshbach Award which is given to a graduating senior who demonstrates the best overall excellence in scholarship and leadership.
Our Offices of Career Development and Personal Development help students not only with choice of careers, but also with personal development and ethics. This training impresses upon the students the necessity to use their own capacity to achieve based upon their own efforts and a sense of responsibility for their own conduct.
