Pediatric Surgery Fellows' Course in Advanced MIS
What
The second year fellows' course is designed to provide the fellow with the skills and knowledge to perform advanced minimally invasive procedures in children. All second year fellows in pediatric surgery in both the United States and Canada attend the course. Maximum enrollment is 53 fellows. (enrollment in 2013 was 41 fellows).
The course includes a lecture series, and hands-on tracheoesophageal fistula repair, lobectomy, duodenal atresia and diaphragmatic hernia repair in high fidelity, anatomically correct, real tissue simulation models. Advanced minimally invasive pediatric surgeons teach the course from training programs across the United States and Canada.

The course is offered free of charge to all second year fellows in pediatric surgery in United States and Canada.
