Pharmacological Inhibitors of Nedd4 ubiquitin ligase as anticancer therapeutics

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

Stefan Kathman and Peter Foote are graduate students who are conducting key experiments related to Statsyuk's NIH R01 grant that was transferred from Northwestern to Houston. Specifically they validate and investigate the mechanism of small molecule inhibitors of Nedd4-1 ligase, that were discovered using Northwestern’s resources. The proposed funds are to be used in validating compounds as inhibitors of E3 ubiquitin ligases in cells, with cancer relevance.
