Pilot Program to Develop Administrative Potential in Humanities and Arts Faculty

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

This grant supports the creation of a pilot program designed to develop administrative potential in humanities and arts faculty, with a focus on providing training in higher education leadership. The project will contribute to the Faculty Pathways initiative under the Office of the Provost, designed to support faculty cultivation, development, and retention from post-baccalaureate through senior faculty ranks. The two overarching goals of this initiative are to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion priorities by expanding academic pathways for underrepresented faculty; and promote even greater excellence among all faculty, building on our leadership development programs to support faculty engagement and retention throughout the entire career span. The project aims to increase faculty knowledge of University resources, expand faculty capacity for strategic planning, discuss principles of academic leadership and influence, and provide opportunities to network with colleagues.
