Description

The purpose of this task is to acquire specialized expertise in formative research with fathers, fatherhood and paternal involvement in pregnancy outcomes. There is a need to determine through formative research the domains, data approach, and methodology required for creation of the first PRAMS for DADS supplement that will be used to survey new fathers about their experiences surrounding the birth of their child. The expected outcome is a tested and useful PRAMS questionnaire supplement for dads that states can add to their PRAMS survey and a sampling strategy to reach fathers identified. The parties involved would include researchers with expertise and experience in conducting qualitative research, fatherhood, and paternal involvement in pregnancy.
