Pre-Procedural Evaluation of High-Risk Patients using Next-Generation Radial QISS

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

Dr. Dan Kim is a recognized expert in the technical development and practical application of compressed sensing to high-speed MRI. He will play a key role in leading the technical development of compressed sensing and other high-speed iterative reconstruction methods, which will be used to maximize the speed and efficiency of our radial QISS MRA imaging strategy. In addition, while at the University of Utah, he had a major role in the development of simultaneous multi-slice (SMS) imaging methods using radial k-space trajectories, which is more technically complex than for Cartesian k-space trajectories. Given this expertise, he will have a key role in developing and optimizing radial-based SMS techniques that will be applied to greatly expand the spatial coverage that can be achieved in a single breath-hold radial QISS scan.
