Description
Northwestern University will serve as a subcontractor to the The University of Chicago to support this R01 grant. The University of Chicago will provide funds to support the effort of Dr. Sameer Ansari, the Co-Principle Investigator, Dr. Yu Fen (Jennie) Chen, PhD a scientific co-investigator as well as a Nurse Coordinator. Dr. Chen will implement and maintain the MRI scanner pulse sequence software on the Center for Translational Imaging MRI scanners. The Northwestern University researchers will be responsible for identifying potential study subjects and organizing the recruitment and scheduling of subjects. Northwestern support staff will ensure all imaging research performed at Northwestern follows specifications defined by the research plan and prepare and maintaining Internal Review Board (IRB) approvals, including the drafting of consent forms. The Northwestern Research Coordinator will also be tasked with ensuring all databases and patient registries are maintained and HIPPA compliant. Drs. Ansari will oversee the Northwestern staff as well as evaluate patient and imagine data, form scientific hypotheses and support the publication of data for the entire proposal.
