Raman Spectroscopy of Catalysis

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

This statement of work supports continuation of on-going experimental studies directed at understanding the physical and chemical properties of catalysts and energy storage materials using Raman spectroscopy. The experimental work defined below under the “Tasks” supports an Office of Basic Energy Sciences (BES)-funded catalysis and energy storage projects in the Chemical Sciences and Engineering (CSE) Division. The experimental work is conducted by Dr. HackSung Kim, a recognized expert in Raman spectroscopy and a research associate professor at Northwestern University. In addition to his experimental work, Dr. Kim is responsible for managing and operating the Raman laboratory facility in Building 241 including developing and implementing the required Work Planning and Control (WPC) and the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents.
