Description

Objective: The focus of work will be genetic mapping of oxycodone self-administration and stress-responsiveness model

Scope of Work: Dr. Redei will direct one part-time technician who will receive and code the blood samples, carry out plasma corticosterone and estradiol ELISAs in 500 F2 generation rats and also in the CAG-LSL-Cas9 rat model.
Dr. Redei will also coordinate the RNA sequencing from the different brain regions. Samples will be received from University of Tennessee and the RNA sequencing will be carried out by the NUSeq Core Facility at the Feinberg School of Medicine. A letter from the core and a quote for the work will accompany the proposal. Dr. Redei will assist in the interpretation of the data and writing of manuscripts for publication in collaboration with the other MPIs.

Interactions: The MPIs will conduct regular conference calls and meet at meetings to discuss the progress in person and present the data.
