Cervical cancer is the second leading killer of women by cancer worldwide. Human papillomaviruses are the etiological agents of these cancers and they regulate their differentiation-dependent life cycles by through CTCF and SMC1 pathways. These studies will determine how HPV manipulates these pathways and so identify new ways to target this important process in women suffering from these malignancies.
