Role of Sk2/3 Positive Allosteric Modulators on Learning and Memory

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

We will examine the effects of Ataxion001 in young adult, male, Sprague Dawley rats undergoing five days of delay eyeblink conditioning and three days of tone alone extinction. There will be 8-10 rats per group (vehicle, 3mg/kg, 20mg/kg) depending upon behavioral variability and statistical differences. Our goal is to determine if Ataxion001, a small molecule positive allosteric modulator of SK2/3 channels, has a significant effect on acquisition or extinction of conditioned blink responses.
