Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

This proposal will determine whether gene expression profiling of individual cells in a noninvasive sample of nasal tissue from a patient with IPF is feasible. This proposal will also determine whether single-cell transcriptomic analysis can be used to identify new cell types present in the nasal airways of patients with IPF. This research may form a foundation for the development of marker tests for diagnosis, prognosis, and prediction of response to therapy in IPF, and may uncover new targets for therapy.
