Project Details

Description

The Small Worlds project will create technology platforms for studying a range of complex processes in cellular and inter-cellular systems. A major first year goal is the development of 3D Snapshot Holographic Microscopy (3D-SHIM) technology and ensure compatibility with the fluorescent protein tags required to directly monitor exchange processes occurring within and between aspen roots and microbial species. The novelty of the 3D-SIHM system requires the development of algorithms and models for super-resolution and 3D reconstruction images derived from the biological samples.
