Project Details
Description
The MRS student chapter at Northwestern University would like to organize a
software workshop for materials scientists in our community. The project will provide a series of workshops for Northwestern materials scientists to master software programs that are commonly used in materials science research. In our proposed plan, we will coordinate four 90-minute workshops focusing on different software programs. For example we will invite managers from imaging facility to introduce general features on Image J, and make demonstration on a complete image editing process. We will also encourage our students to bring their laptops and provide them with opportunities to interact with speakers on specific software problems. This workshop series will span from winter to spring quarter next year with a minimum of 4 sessions.
