Description
In partnership with Project Exploration and One Summer Chicago, Northwestern University’s TIDAL Lab will conduct a summer out-of-school program for middle and high school youth in Chicago’s Austin neighborhood. The program will involve a combination of in-person and virtual sessions that introduce learners to the intersection of digital music production and Python computer programming. The summer will culminate in a community music festival produced in collaboration with Studio 2112 and Chicago’s Center for Creative Entrepreneurship. Funding will be used to support coach / facilitators for the summer programs and production costs for the music festival.
