Project Details

Description

This mandatory neurophysiology course provides a unique opportunity to introduce residents early to the field of movement disorders and to provide a basis for the future use of botulinum toxin injections that will hopefully allow them to better care for their patients. A combination of didactic and hands on, interactive lessons will provide the basis for understanding and treating dystonia, including diagnosis, work up, and anatomy of muscles involved resulting in the various abnormal postures seen in dystonia. Finally, the course will conclude with live patient injections performed by the teaching faculty.
