Project Details
Description
As a part of an on-going Dept of Energy Project at Argonne National Lab, Michael Wagner will perform optical characterizations semiconductor and metal nanoparticles of interest for manipulations of energy and charge, especially as enabled by coherences. In particular, student will perform static and time-resolved absorption and photoluminescence studies of near-infrared semiconductor nanocrystals and metallic nanoparticles and dyes. The measurements will help us to determine how coherences can be utilized to manipulate energy on fast timescales.
