Our entire funded request will go to the salaries of our two graduate students and one postdoc working on the Micro-X project. Renee Manzagol is our senior graduate student. She participated in the first launch and is leading the optics, filter, and cryostat integration for flight. Joshua Fuhrman is our junior graduate student. He will be helping Renee and getting trained on all aspects of assembly and integration, and is leading the analysis pipeline for the data we take in the lab in preparation for launch and will lead the post-flight data analysis. Dan Jardin is our post doc, who will be overseeing the work of both graduate students, interfacing with our collaborators and NASA NSROC, and be the lead overall integration manager at Northwestern. This work will not happen without this COVID Funded Extenstion, is critical to the careers of these three young researchers, and is vital for the Micro-X project to achieve a second flight.
