Project Details
Description
Kenan Li , a PhD candidate in Applied Physics at Northwestern University, will be working on the development and application of zone plate optics for x-ray microscopy studies. He will be carrying out simulations of the focusing properties of zone plates aimed at understanding the properties of stacking multiple zone plates together as required for the
APS Upgrade, and for operational responsibilities of the APS Optics group. He will work on zone plate fabrication using the Center for Nanoscale Materials (CNM) at Argonne, and the testing of zone plate focusing at the APS. His work will involve optics simulation and
data analysis at Northwestern University, participation in occasional meetings at Argonne, and work at Argonne.
