Support for Young Pyo Hong

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

Argonne National Laboratory Statement of Work August 23, 2012 Young Pyo Hong will be working on the development and application of x-ray microscopy methods. In hard x-ray microscopy experiments at Argonne National Laboratory, Mr. Hong will concentrate on the development of methods for fluorescence tomography, including experiments with the Bionanoprobe (a new cryogenic scanning microscope) and experiments at the 2-ID-E, 2-ID-D, and 2-ID-B beamlines. Mr. Hong’s activities will include the exploration of dose fractionation in fluorescence tomography, and the quantitative combination of phase contrast and fluorescence image data. His work will involve data analysis and software development at Northwestern University, participation in occasional meetings at Argonne, and work at Argonne both in sample preparation and in operation of the x-ray microscopes involved in this work.
