Description

We recently completed a detailed assessment of lung fluid samples from 86 patients with COVID-19 and 254 patients with pneumonia from other causes. This analysis suggested specific mechanisms by which SARS-CoV-2 causes severe disease in some patients and identified possible strategies to target these mechanisms, which we test in this application.
