Project Details
Description
This Statement of Work describes the scope of a 2017 Dixon Translational Research Grants Initiative New Investigator Award (PI: Dr. Katherina Hauner). This award will support Dr. Katherina Hauner’s involvement as PI and Dr. Inger Burnett-Zeigler’s involvement as a Co-Investigator. Dr. Hauner’s duties include supervising the proposed research, developing and refining the study design, determining subject eligibility, monitoring and assisting in all data collection, performing data analyses, optimizing all study design and data collection procedures, and preparing results for peer-reviewed publication and/or submission as pilot data for an R-level grant. Dr. Burnett-Zeigler will provide guidance and feedback regarding study design (e.g., reviewing testing/scanning procedures and neurocognitive measures, to ensure they are appropriate for the OEF/OIF veteran population), participant recruitment, assessment and selection, and review and interpretation of the clinical results. To meet these objectives, Dr. Hauner and Dr. Burnett-Zeigler will engage in weekly investigator meetings throughout the proposed project period.
