Description
1. DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT
The Le Poole Lab hereby commits to preparing bullets for the Helios Gene Gun, a handheld device that provides rapid and direct transfection into a range of targets in vivo. The unit uses an adjustable low-pressure helium pulse to sweep DNA-, RNA-, or biomaterial-coated gold microcarriers from the inner wall of a small plastic cartridge directly into target cells.
- 4,400 Bullets loaded with 1.67 micrograms each of Modified HSP70i DNA Plasmid
- 1,000 Bullets Control Bullets (no plasmid)

The deliverables are a result of activities as follows:
- Cartridge preparation
- Plasmid testing to support toxicology studies for HSP70iQ435A treatment of vitiligo
2. DELIVERABLES / REPORTS
Le Poole Lab will from time to time prepare a progress report on project development. A Final report is due on April 31, 2023. Prepared cartridges will be delivered for toxicology studies in tree installments over the period of the project.
