Description
Large pixellated ASICs performing a variety of functions at a pixel level is the backbone of any detector system. Detector systems developed at Fermilab are used for various experiments from the CMS Experiment at CERN to photon science applications at Brookhaven National Lab. Generally these ASICs need to perform in extreme environments including but not limited to high radiation, cryogenic temperatures etc. These ASIC often are part of systems, which require reliable operation for several decades. Hence detailed tests and characterization of ASICs is necessary for verifying performance and also for future improvements of designs.
