Testing the Predicted Two-phase Growth of SMBHs with X-ray Observations Across Mass and Redshift

This project will develop model predictions for AGN activity based on a “two-phase” scenario for the growth of supermassive black holes. The model predictions will be tested against available observations, including from the Chandra X-ray Observatory. The funded postdoctoral fellow will be responsible for most of the scientific analysis. The PI will manage the project, and contribute to the analysis and writing up the results
