The Balloon-Borne Large Aperture Telescope for Polarization - BLASTPol

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

The Northwestern team will contribute to all aspects of the analysis of data collected during the 2020 flight of BLAST-TNG, and will take responsibility for pointing reconstruction, which is needed for mapmaking and instrument/detector characterization. In addition, our group will carry out scientific analyses of new ALMA and GAIA data that are complementary to BLAST 2012 results for Vela C, and we will disseminate these results. Finally, we will disseminate methods used by our team for selecting scientific targets of balloon-borne submillimeter polarimetry missions.
