Description

The Northwestern team will take responsibility for (a) supporting the 2017 flight in Antarctica via direct participation in all aspects of the preparations and execution, (b) leading the data reduction effort with ASU and U. Penn, and in particular working with Dr. Paschos and other CIERA HPC experts on analysis of the 2017 flight data, e.g. via the TOAST package that is currently installed on the QUEST and GRAIL clusters at Northwestern, and (c) leading the science programs related to star formation (with U. Virginia) and polarization of diffuse Galactic emission science (with U. Penn).
