The Child-Centered Outcomes in Practice and Research (COPR) Center of Excellence: Strengthening the Clinical Validity Evidence Base for PROMIS Measures in Chronically Ill Children

This project has three aims: Aim 1: Examine the extent to which using two additional CAT stopping rules changes the number of items administered, score precision, and score comparability, especially among individuals reporting low levels of negative outcomes and high levels of positive outcomes. Aim 2: Assess the degree to which increasing the precision required to stop CAT impacts the number of items administered, score precision, and score comparability for all respondents, including individuals reporting high levels of negative outcomes and low levels of positive outcomes, after implementing the new stopping rules. Aim 3: Evaluate the extent to which different starting items affect the number of items administered, score precision, and score comparability for all respondents, including individuals reporting high levels of negative outcomes and low levels of positive outcomes.
