Project Details
Description
The long-term goal of this line of investigation is to develop medical therapies targeting hepatobiliary UPR signaling pathways for the treatment of PSC and other cholestatic liver disorders. The purpose of this study is to determine the role of the UPR in the biliary epithelium of patients with PSC and biliary strictures. This project will support the institutional goals and mission of the Digestive Health Foundation by enhancing our understanding of the pathogenesis of PSC in order to identify novel targets for the development of pharmacologic therapies.
