Touch spanning spatial scales: The neural basis of texture perception in somatosensory cortices

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

The project aims to understand the neural mechanisms of manual dexterity. Accomplishing the aims entails specialized apparatus for interacting with the animal and recording and manipulating neurons in the circuits that are involved. Nick Longo will design and build specialized apparatus that is needed to investigate these mechanisms.
