Project Details
Description
Argonne National Laboratory (Argonne) and the Northwestern University (NU) will develop TuRF metasurfaces for high temperature heat exchanger operations. NU is a part of the project team led by Argonne, with AMO-EERE-DOE providing funds.
The overall goal of this project is to develop stainless steel TuRF metasurfaces that are tunable, passive, foul-resistant, robust, easy-to-manufacture, and possesses micron-size surface hydrophobic/ hydrophilic domains, for use in heat exchangers.
