Project Details
Description
The undergraduate research assistants will collaborate with the PI and doctoral student on three optimization models for logistics associated with COVID-19. First, we consider an antivirals distribution model using the logistics infrastructure of pharmacies on a state-by-state basis. The aim is to maximize coverage of the population also accounting for the underinsured. Second, we optimize deployment and redeployment of ventilators in a US-wide test. Third, we optimize distribution of vaccines accounting for multiple vaccine types and the suitability of those vaccine types for multiple risk groups.
