Lauren Balmert, PhD, will serve as a Subcontract Principal Investigator for this project and Co-Investigator on the overall project. Dr. Balmert will collaborate directly with Dr. Jao and the investigative team on all proposed statistical analyses. She will direct analyses involving inflammatory/cardiac biomarkers and metabolomics analyses, advise on methodology, and work directly with the statistical analyst/programmer under Dr. Jao’s supervision at Lurie Children’s. Dr. Balmert will contribute to the interpretation of data analysis results and will assist in manuscript preparation and presentation of findings. Denise M. Scholtens, PhD, will serve as a Co-Investigator on the overall project. She will collaborate with Dr. Jao and the investigative team on statistical analyses during Year 4 and Year 5. Dr. Scholtens will also provide expertise for the interpretation of data analysis results and will assist in manuscript preparation and presentation of findings. Matthew Feinstein, MD, will serve as a Co-Investigator on the project. Dr. Feinstein will provide scientific insight and collaboration in the development of assessments and analyses of myocardial and vascular dysfunction, cardiac magnetic resonance imaging modalities, and the understanding of underlying pathways of inflammation and metabolic alterations in the study population. He will contribute to the interpretation of results, and contribute to manuscript preparation and review. Support Dates: 04/01/2020-03/31/2025
