Project Details

Description

During Year 1, the Chicago Center will work with the other MACS centers to implement the protocol, including preparation of the survey and IRB submission. In Year 2, The Chicago Center will be responsible for the recruitment of men enrolled in the MACS into the substudy over a three year period (six consecutive 6-month waves). The Center will be responsible for administering informed consent, for promoting the completion of the survey by all consenting participants, and for payment of participant compensation. The Center will transfer data on paper surveys by fax, or by scanning and Internet transmission, to the principle investigator, Dr. Stall, at the University of Pittsburgh. In years 3, 4, and 5 the Chicago Center personnel will participate in the development of analyses and the preparation of abstracts and manuscripts for presentation and publication.
