Understanding SARS-CoV-2 Related Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Adults (MIS-A Study)

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

Per the Understanding SARS-CoV-2 Related Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Adults (MIS-A) project, CDC anticipates each participating site perform 100 MIS-A case abstractions and 200 SARS-CoV-2 control abstractions. Sites will use a CDC-developed sentinel surveillance system and working case definition to enroll patients hospitalized with MIS-A and SARS-CoV-2 infection into the study. The number of SARS CoV-2 controls is contingent upon availability. To provide participating sites with a fair reimbursement for its support of this important work and CDC partnership, Rainmakers Strategic Solutions will be compensating sites for start-up and the case abstraction activity.
