Project Details
Description
Dr. Wei Zhang has a broad background in human genetics, bioinformatics, and biostatistics, with an emphasis on elucidating the genetic and epigenetic contributors to complex traits, including risks for complex diseases and drug response. In particular, he has extensive experience in the analysis of genome-wide data generated from high-throughput platforms, including the next-generation sequencing technologies and various microarray platforms. Dr. Zhang is also an expert in (epi)genome-wide association studies. Dr. Zhang will work closely with Dr. Chiu to jointly lead this project, coordinate the high-throughput profiling, and supervise bioinformatics/data analysis. Dr Zhang will also participate in the preparation of manuscripts and NIH reports.
